Email Marketing
There are various methods for utilizing email to market your
products or services. Beyond the traditional e-newsletter, there are e-coupons, e-offers, and
e-surveys. Basically these tools involve engaging with an audience AND having their
permission to do so. This is also know as "opt-in" marketing. (i.e. Your audience is opting to receive
material from you or is otherwise engaging with you.)
Email marketing sounds simple enough . . . gather some e-mail
addresses and "blast" information or offers. However, in a world of spam filters
and e-mail bombardment, creating an effective email marketing campaign involves
knowledge and skills that go beyond the ability to simply send emails.
At Miller Direct Media we:
- Assess how email marketing can be utilized to
engage your audience, instead of turning them away.
- Understand and work around the various technical
hurdles that result in non-delivery of email messages.
- Bring 15 years of traditional media experience to the
"electronic table"; thereby creating effective messages that are delivered in a timely
and cost effective manner.
Delivering &
Engaging
As discussed in Kevin McKeon's "(Creative) Power to the People," marketers need to focus less on
the technology that does the engaging, but focus more on the person engaged with the
technology.
So the real new media breakthrough ... is people. Engage them intelligently and respectfully. New people
like to talk, they like to share, they like to learn, and they like to collaborate. So start a conversation --
give people the means to carry that conversation on, enrich it, personalize it -- give it the means to travel,
and encourage it to take on a life of its own. (Read more)
Three Ways to Start a
Conversation
by Darrah MacLean
When was the last time you asked your
subscriber base to share their thoughts? Three months ago? Six months ago? 12 months ago? Never? (Say it isn't
so.) Staying current with your audience keeps you grounded in reality. It helps you know what's really going
on, not just what you "think" is going on. (Read more)
